This All Girls' March Break Children's Horse &
Dogsledding
Camp is back again in 2010,
with openings for 12 - 16 animal crazy girls!
Winter Fun is the theme, and we're doing
it up like
no other! Daily dogsledding & Horseback Riding,
Outdoor learning and
much more!
This residential
camp will get your child outside in the
fluffy stuff with
the dogs & horses, with plenty to keep them busy!
Kids love animals and this one of a kind Ontario
Riding camp dishes it up like no other. The ONLY
Children's Camp in Ontario that offers Dogsledding
and Horseback Riding as a combination with a focus
on spending the whole day with the critters!

This weekend is for ALL those adults
who have wanted to experience the joy of
'hands on' horsemanship but could never
attend a camp program. Our kids summer
program is so popular, we've extended the
ideas to include adults in some action packed,
and 'OH SO FUN' social riding weekends!
Our adult campers cover lessons in either
English or Western, and of COURSE we're
hitting the trails for FUN!
All levels welcome
and we'll split you into groups for
intensive
and fun
'one on one' horse skills training.

WORKING STUDENT CAMP 
(June 27 - July 3, 2010)
*AGES 14 - 18 (COUNSELLOR TRAINING ONLY)
Ontario schools are out later than usual
so we put off start up of 'regular' camp
for a week, and made a 'special' camp
for older and more experienced teens!
With guidance, campers are assigned multiple
horses/ponies and taught how to properly
condition, train, & prepare them for camp!
It IS a camp, so tons of fun & very social, but
designed to give kids practical skills similar to
what's expected in a working student program.
We're teaching campers the ropes, in a FUN
week of extensive riding, with the end goal of
helping students who want a future in the industry.
For English & Western riders who are at home
on a horse, are confident, & have good riding skills,
we've priced it based on the fact that they will be doing a bit of
horse oriented work while they are here
- but the upside is,
successful campers get a reference letter at week's end!

How often does your young rider
bug you for their own horse? For most
parents, the time just isn't right and
a guage is needed for whether a child
is (or will soon be) ready for their own
horse. All week long, campers engage in
an in depth focus with full immersion into
the exciting world of horsemanship skills.

who want tons of one on one horse time!

DRESSAGE CAMP
(July 11th - July 17, 2010)
*AGES 10 - 18 (ROOKIE TO COUNSELOR IN TRAINING)
Campers who wish to improve basic
riding skills,
get a better handle on
neat & accurate riding, and
enjoy the
challenge of learning to better school
and prepare their horses for a dressage show will
love this camp! Dressage is NOT
just for big shots
- it's a user friendly
discipline
and an excellent choice
for
ALL levels of riders, from beginners
to advanced
riders!
What better way to kick off the summer than
to hone skills to a finer level! We all
envy those kids
who ride
with quiet hands
& neat precision - now we can
BE them! And, with dressage being such an important
part of all english riding disciplines, those who
are interested in eventing will know, it's a MUST!
(this camp is an great lead in for those attending EVENTING camp)

EVENTING CAMP
(July 18th - July 24, 2010)
*AGES 10 - 18 (ADVANCED TO COUNSELOR IN TRAINING)
Campers who love the thrill of competition
will love this week of intensive training
covering all three eventing disciplines.
Riders will get an overview of dressage,
and some in depth training in stadium &
cross country. Week ends with a a 'demo'
show to highlight the skills gained by our
avid campers and give them a taste of what
the Eventing world is all about! Our new
cross country course is set up for newcomers,
so it's just enough challenge to encourage riders.

SHOW CAMP
(July 25- July 31, 2010)
*AGES 10 - 18 (ROOKIE TO COUNSELOR IN TRAINING)
English and Western horse camp for young
horse loving, horse CRAZY boys and girls
of all ages and abilities. Daily riding lessons
develop skills to participate in a variety
of classes in both English and Western
classes at a SHOW! Riding skills develop
with great comraderie, open to most levels, and
always a big hit. Daily lessons, and a show
at weeks' end to compete for ribbons
with all the fun and none of the frenzy.

HEADIN WEST
(Aug 1 - Aug 7, 2010)

This action packed residential horse
camp is girls only, with a really cool
'western theme' complete with homey
"CowGIRL" Cabin, Roping & Barrel
Racing Clinics & Trail rides to the lake.
In August the weather is perfect, and
favorite Champion Roper, Harry Hodges
is back & the girls have a SHOW for
parents at the end of the week of fun!.

HUNTER JUMPER CAMP
(Aug 8 - Aug 14, 2010)
*AGES 10 - 18 (INTERMEDIATE TO COUNSELOR IN TRAINING)
Open to girls who love to show off, and want
to experience how to prepare, train, and put on
the polish in order to organize & compete in our
very own Hunter/Jumper Horse Show! For
english riders with good basic skills, who want
to learn more about the Hunter/Jumper Scene.
Lessonsthrough the week, in a relaxed setting,
ending with an on site horse show which
they will organize and put on for their parents!
With a focus on good equitation over fences
our riders improve their skill while having fun.
AND - a clinic with popular coach Heather Kirk!

For WESTERN boys and girls who have
a strong desire to learn ALL WEEK LONG
about Reining and Working Cowhorse.
Campers learn comprehensive skills in
these two events and enjoy PLENTY of
TRAIL RIDING! Our coed campers will
enjoy A TON of hands on experience aboard
our trusted school horses. Western can be more
FUN than ENGLISH - and the cows are a hoot!

For girls looking for a fantastic week of horse
activity with lots of riding & horse time - this
one has a little bit of EVERYTHING we do
here on our farm! Switching from english to
western and back again, our campers keep
busy with very own horse for the week.
There's 'everything' from western games to
crossing water, obstacle courses & crossrails,
chasing cows on horseback and honing
horsemanship skills, & of course TONS OF
trail riding on our extensive system! This
year, we're really hitting the trails!

HWT INVITATIONAL CAMP
(Aug 29 - Sept 4, 2010)
*AGES 10 - 18 ( INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED)
We always thought each camp had 'special'
kids who were fun, easy to get along
with and very self sufficient - and we
always wondered what would happen
if they met each other! This new camp is
by invitation only, and drawing from the
camper pool from the year previous, we
gather a show team together & spend a week
focusing on preparations for a large schooling
show in our area. Team members get a jacket,
and we work together to enjoy a fun event,
and hopefully take home some loot !
A great incentive to up and coming campers!
OLD SALTY'S WEEKEND

Back again and better than ever. Let us show
you how much fun an adult rider can have just
