FOCUS. THINK. FEEL. RIDE.
Our ENGLISH camps are about riding and learning progressively and with a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced English rider, you will enjoy our July English program. Oh we swim in the pool and have evening fun and games, but during the day, we RIDE!!!
Why are we different? Great coaches, great program, great horses, and ALGONQUIN PARK. Yes, the wilderness surrounds us and our campers get to enjoy the horses with the beautiful backdrop of Ontario's finest WILDERNESS trail system.
OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL says it all!
Most of our horses have been here since the very beginning. We don't sell them every year like some stables. That means we know EXACTLY what type of horse your child is riding, and make good matches. It's about horse & rider combinations!
We have a hands on business. That means both Matt & Penny oversee all lessons directly. Your child is in good hands, as safety, fun, and riding progression are the cornerstone of our facility.

RIDING CAMP FOCUS
Our ENGLISH riding camp program has always taught 'up'. That means if you are a beginner, or an advanced rider, our main goal is to teach you skills that will see your confidence and riding level increase before you go home. Because your money and time is important, and we understand! Can't make it in July? We have English Camps in August as well.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
The following is a brief description of each week of our JULY ‘English Only’ camp weeks. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! Campers can attend one, two, or three weeks. Be sure and check our August camps, which also include an English program, also from beginner to advanced. Our camp program splits riders into riding levels, so that everyone gets exactly what they need to progress during camp.
WEEK ONE is a ‘kick off’ camp week that is great for riders who are wanting a great english program, OR who are advanced and want to have multiple weeks ending on week two or three. Beginners start off with all the basics, and more advanced riders work on pole work, and introductory jumps for their level. Riding levels are split for the morning lesson, and together in the afternoon for fun and games. A great intro to our camp, our horses, and our teaching style. Always great swimming weather on those first days of glorious summer!
BEGINNER TO COUNSELOR TRAINING
WEEK TWO is for girls who want a slightly more advanced program. It’s also a continuation from week one. Campers who stay over generally move up a level on week two. Groups are split by level, with the advanced jumping program working on grids, lines, and rhythm. Heights are generally up to two foot. Beginners over fences start with all the basics in a seperate group. Lessons are geared toward each riding level for safety. In the afternoon we get together for ‘english’ themed games geared to improve confidence & skill. Great time to swim and enjoy those lazy summer days.
BEGINNER TO COUNSELOR TRAINING
WEEK THREE is the most advanced of the three, but still has room for less experienced riders. The ‘less advanced’ group is already fairly confident and ready to canter, with trot fences, while the advanced group is ready to start right into course work and turns. Heights are low for the beginners, and up to 2’6″ for the advanced riders. And of course, safety first! Those who have stayed over for multiple weeks to improve riding to a HIGHER level are usually ready for the advanced group. And of course, great weather!
